That said, the best option depends on your bite, alignment, and treatment goals. Dr. Lazin will recommend the approach that makes the most sense for your case.

Your treatment starts with a consultation, exam, and digital records so Dr. Lazin can evaluate your smile and build a custom plan.

Once your aligners are ready, you’ll wear each set for the prescribed amount of time before moving on to the next. You’ll also come in for periodic check-ins so we can monitor your progress and make sure everything is moving as planned.

Treatment time varies from patient to patient, but many Invisalign cases fall somewhere between six and 18 months.

The biggest factor is consistency. Wearing your aligners as directed each day keeps treatment moving on schedule. After your consultation, Dr. Lazin can give you a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs.

Most patients find Invisalign more comfortable than traditional braces. The aligners are made of smooth plastic, so no brackets or wires rub against the inside of your mouth.

You may feel some pressure when you start a new set of aligners, but that usually means your treatment is working. It tends to fade quickly as your teeth adjust.

You should remove your aligners whenever you eat or drink anything other than water. This helps prevent staining, warping, and the trapping of food or sugar between your teeth.

One of the biggest advantages of Invisalign is that you can still enjoy your usual meals without the food restrictions that come with braces. Just take your aligners out, eat, brush if needed, and put them back in.

Rinse them regularly with cool or lukewarm water and clean them gently with a soft toothbrush. You should avoid hot water when cleaning your aligners, because it can distort the plastic.

We may also recommend aligner-cleaning products to help keep them fresh and clear throughout treatment. We have a few products at the office, so let us know if you’re interested in trying them out.

Some patients notice a slight lisp for the first few days, especially when they first begin treatment. That usually goes away quickly as your mouth gets used to the aligners.

Most people adjust fast and speak normally once Invisalign becomes part of their routine.
